
SUMMER READING EVENTS & PROGRAMS
PROGRAM DATES:
Wednesday, July 5th through Thursday, August 31st
“RAISE A HAND FOR KINDNESS” CHALLENGE
Let’s see if our community can cover our bulletin board in “kindness”. Receive a “hand” for every act of kindness. Let our library staff or volunteers know that you have completed an act of kindness and put a hand on our board.

CHILDREN (Ages Birth to 5 years old)
Library staff and volunteers will share “kindness” themed stories, songs and finger plays. Children are asked to record the number of minutes that they read or are read to. Reading Records will be available at the library front desk starting June 19th.
Child’s Play!: Wednesdays from 1:00 – 2:00 pm Ages birth to age 5.

CHILDREN (Ages 6 to 11)
Children are asked to record the number of minutes they read or are read to. Reading Records will be available at the library front desk starting June 19th.
Mobile Summer Reading: Miss Jessica and Chet will be visiting our friends at The Wrap, Sinclairville Summer Recreation and Gerry Summer Recreation on Tuesdays (July 11th – Aug 8th) for some library fun and games all about friendship and community.

TEENS
Teens are asked to record the number of books that they read. Reading Records will be available at the library front desk starting June 19th. Ages 12 to 17.
Teen Team Selfie Scavenger Hunt: Starts Wednesday, July 5th through Friday, August 18th. Build a team and see if you can get all the selfies. Registration Required. For ages 12 & up. Younger children may participate with a parent or caregiver. All teams that complete the scavenger hunt will be entered to win a Pizza Party! Families may also participate.
*Please note most locations will be with-in the Village limits. Some locations requiring driving (Gerry & Charlotte).

ADULTS
Adults are asked to record the number of books that they read. Reading Records will be available at the library front desk starting June 19th. Ages 18 and up.

FAMILIES
Family friendly events with stories, crafts and activities for families. Most activities geared toward kindergarten to 6th grade aged children.
