Take Your Child to the Library Day: Children’s Book Project Grant Read-A-Thon

Help us raise up to $400 in our Read-A-Thon! Readers help raise money by taking flat donations or by the page sponsorship. Then spend some time at the library enjoying some quiet reading time.

The Pilcrow Foundation, a national non-profit public charity, provides a 2-to-1 match to rural public libraries that receive a grant through its Children’s Book Project and contribute funds through local sponsors for the purchase of up to $1200 worth (at retail value) of new, quality, hardcover children’s books.

Register to read by visiting the library or register on our website.

You may also show your support by sponsoring one of our library staff. Beth Hadley and Miss Jessica will both be reading for 1.5 hours during our Read-A-Thon.

Refreshments and Prizes. Plus, all readers and sponsors will have the opportunity to have their name on a bookplate inside one of our brand new children’s books.

Special Take n’ Make craft kits will be available to help raise awareness about the importance of bringing your child to the library.
